Transportable pressure vessels, safety equipment and piping require additional type testing.
Such tests should be carried out after successful registration and must be successfully completed before the license audit takes place. A decisive role is also given to the manner in which such type tests executed (see administration of type testing).
Positive type test is obligatory for the license audit. Since the type tests are carried out exclusively by accredited laboratories, which are not part of the licensing process, little, if anything, can be said about the necessary duration. As a rule, a further eight weeks are required - in exceptional cases, the type test may take several additional months.
